Community Outreach and Advocacy
Here at the Morris County Organization for Hispanic Affairs, we work on many exciting projects to help improve the lives of others and are very proud of the progress we continue to make.
Our current projects include Free Monthly Eye Screening, Senior Citizens Services, Form Completion, Translation services, Notary Public services, Interpretation of Letters, Phone calls to social services, government offices, doctors, etc.

Free Monthly Eye Screening
MCOHA partners every month with the New Jersey Commission for the Blind to provide Free Eye Screenings twice a month to EVERY individual, regardless of their immigration status.
Additionally, after you have been seen by the doctors and have your prescription, you can request to have your glasses done free of charge if you're eligible.
You just need to call us and schedule your appointment.
Senior Citizens Services

At the Morris County Organization for Hispanic Affairs, we are dedicated to stepping up our efforts in helping our Senior Citizens as much as we can. Through cooperation and community, we have been able to establish and maintain the Senior Citizens Group "Corazones Contentos," in two locations, one in the Town of Dover and the other one in Morristown. We are always striving to engage them and invest in them in order to make a difference and make their lives a little better.

Hispanic Women’s Resource Center
(Centro de Empoderamiento Para la Mujer Latina)
The Hispanic Women’s Resource Center HWRC aims to help Hispanic women in the Morris County area. Our center is currently serving women from low/medium-income households through support and ed-ucation in different areas.
This program focuses on the development of professional skills to gain a stable work environment. Using three main objectives as a developmental base; Discover, Learn and Take over the future. Our goal is to empower Hispanic women to explore new opportu-nities in order to transform their lives and their com-munities.
