Community Outreach and Advocacy

Here at Morris County Organization for Hispanic Affairs, we work on many exciting projects to help improve the lives of others and are very proud of the progress we continue to make.

Our current projects include free monthly vision exams, senior citizens socialization, interpretation and completion of forms and letters, translation services, Notary Public services and phone calls to social services, government offices, doctors, etc.

Senior Citizens Socialization Programs

At MCOHA, we are dedicated to helping our senior citizens feel valued and connected. Our seniors group "Happy Hearts" or "Corazones Contentos" meets weekly for conversation, food and activities. We take trips to places of interest and enjoy being together.

Starting in 2025, MCOHA participates in the Age-Friendly initiative of the New Jersey Department of Human Services, Division of Aging Services to engage our older adults socially through holiday celebrations where their contributions are welcome and their lives are honored.

We invite you to learn more and lend your support.

Vision Exams and Eyeglasses

Everyone, children and adults, is welcome to sign up for a free vision examination by an opthalmologist. If needed, we can order eyeglasses for you at an affordable price through our partnership with New Eyes for the Needy.  Exams are held the second Wednesday of every month, 9:00 am - 12:00 pm.
